Grateful Hearts – Weekly Update

The Gratitude Breakfast is coming!  The Gratitude Breakfast is coming!  This makes me almost as excited as the Helm’s Bakery Man coming up my street in his Woody filled with fresh bread and pastries – glorious childhood memories! This Sunday, November 1, following worship (after gaining an hour due to time change!) the youth of our church along with the Youth Ministry Team will be serving breakfast in our fellowship hall as they share their gratitude with our congregation for your support and dedication to their spiritual formation.

It is always a wonderful thing when the Body of Christ, the family of faith, can gather around the table and share our gratitude with one another and we shall do so this Sunday as we gather for worship around the Lord’s table as we develop our own heart for God.  This Sunday we will be introduced to King David, a man after God’s own heart, a fearless and tenacious leader who was shaped by life’s experiencing and led the Israelites in the way of the Lord.  Let us welcome warmly all who come to gather.

For those interested in learning more about our church don’t forget about our New Member Class following worship and the gratitude breakfast.  All are welcome.

On Sunday, November 15, following worship we are delighted to present a Pre-Advent Workshop and Alternative Christmas Market for our whole congregation and community.  This event will include multi-generation activities regarding Advent and Christmas traditions and will focus on the tradition of the Jesse Tree. This will be a great tie-in with our journey through The Story. The workshop will also include an Alternative Gift Market for the Christmas season.

That evening our sister church, New Hope Presbyterian Church, will be sponsoring the Hope Alive Concert “Perfect Harmony” featuring local musicians which supports music instruction for low income schools in our area.  For more information and online ticket reservations click onto mynewhopepres.org.

Our Mexico Mission Adult Weekend Trip is just around the corner, November 6-8.  Details about the trip and registration information can be found on our web site, Fall Mexico Mission.

The NEWSLETTER is BIG this month!!  You will find the November issue attached or you can read it online here.

In His Service,
