The Hi Neighbor Discovery Program is offered and encouraged as a way to facilitate as many neighborhood gatherings as possible in an effort to connect with our neighbors and learn about our community.

 

Process:

Neighborhood gatherings hosted by church members and families. A gathering could be an open house, a block party, a breakfast, lunch, dinner, dessert, tea, wine and cheese tasting. Members/families would volunteer to host one gathering in their neighborhood or if unable to do so in their neighborhood can volunteer to help another family host. Each host would determine the number of neighbors to include and type of gathering.

 

Participation:

The Outreach and Community Life Committees will be hosting a Hi Neighbor Volunteer Workshop on Sunday, February 25 following worship. At the event we will offer sample party ideas, a planning guide, resources and hosting aids. Participants are encouraged to host their neighborhood gathering between March 2 and April 21, 2018. On Sunday, April 22 we will host a review event to share experiences and accomplishments.
