Schedule of events:

May 18th

9am – Opening Ceremony, Survivor lap, Caregiver lap, Parade of Colors: Immediately after Opening Ceremony on May 18th, we will kickoff the 2019 Relay For Life of The Canyons with the Survivor Lap and then the Caregiver Lap. For the first time ever, we are asking all participants to join in on the Parade of Colors. Let’s show off one of the coolest parts of our event, that we support ALL types of cancer.

10:30am – Cancer Blows … Bubbles lap: Bring Your Own Bubbles!! We would love to see thousands of bubbles floating away from our track on May 18th starting at 10:30am!

Noon – Road to Recovery lap: Every day thousands of cancer patients need a ride to treatment, but some may not have a way to get there. The American Cancer Society Road To Recovery program provides transportation to and from treatment for people with cancer who do not have a ride or are unable to drive themselves. Rev up your engines, grab your helmets, ace attire and checked flags, as we are on a race to end Cancer and remind everyone about the American Cancer Society’s Road to Recovery Program!

3:30pm – Miss Relay lap: Participation in Miss Relay 2019 is limited to males ages 18 and older. There is no entry fee, but the winner will be chosen based on fundraising completed during the 15 minutes following the presentation of contestants.

6:30pm – Hometown Heroes lap:  Honor veterans, active serving military, police and fire personnel for their tireless service. It is my hope that that the remainder of the events participants stand along the track and cheer on those walking as a means of celebrating the people that keep us all safe!

9pm – Luminaria ceremony: Lighted bags honoring loved ones lost and those fighting cancer will in the track.

Midnight – Lightsaber lap: The duel will take place as the clock strikes midnight and we move from the 18th to the 19th of May.

May 19th

9am – Closing Ceremony
