Jack Hale, Cathy Dyla, Staci Ashby and I had a wonderful day yesterday traveling to Mexico and visiting with our friends at Futuro del Oro and with Pastor Lupe and his family. It was an inspiring day, filled with conversations and plans for future ministry and mission work together. God clearly has been blessing our efforts in these shanty communities filled with people who have hope and dreams for a better tomorrow. In the next few months we will begin to see a vision of our future mission and service in Mexico, a bright one indeed. Our web site has information about our current project that is planned for March 27-April 1, check it out!
This Sunday we will celebrate the ultimate meal together, Holy Communion as we explore together the joys and hardships of faith and how Jesus Christ invites us all to an abundant life of faith.
Beginning on March 11 our Adult Education Team will be hosting a weekly study based on Adam Hamilton’s devotional, “24 Hours That Changed the World” based on the last 24 hours of Jesus’ life. You can register for this class using the Worship bulletin registration form or online.
Why should the kids have all the fun? Join us for a Mom’s Night Out for moms of Sr. High and Middle School students on Sunday, March 15th, 6:45pm at Macaroni Grill in Anaheim Hills, hosted by the CHPC Youth Ministry Committee. Whether or not you are a member of the church or if your student is active every week in the program or an infrequent visitor or hasn’t participated yet, we would love to have you join us – it’s just for fun and fellowship! RSVP to Mary Byrne, firstname.lastname@example.org, 714 719-9915, by March 14 so we’ll have a headcount for the restaurant reservation.
