Missions & Service

We have heard God’s call to be a blessing to others and we are blessed ourselves to support a variety of Community Service Projects along with regional and global missions.

Local Community Service Partners

  • Northeast of the Well provides support and assistance to a diverse body of women, men and children committed to rebuilding their lives as followers of Christ. It is the “church on the go” taking the Gospel to recovery programs, sober living programs, safe houses and prisons. Every 4th Monday of the month a team of CHPC volunteers provides a meal for the Community Gathering Program in Anaheim or to the women of Casa Teresa.

  • Skyview Elementary and Middle School is an alternative education program that primarily focuses on at risk youth K-8th grades. The school is located in the city of Orange, accredited, and run by the Orange County Department of Education. Many of our students reside in old, nightly rated motels, some others in shelters, cars, and parks and others live with friends or family. One of the many unfortunate circumstances these students face is lack of resources for everyday and basic need items, therefore the Skyview staff have created a small nonprofit, HERO For Kids Foundation (HERO stands for Homeless Education, Resources and Opportunities). HERO attempts to provide our students and their families with resources and opportunities that the school cannot. These resources include field trips and extracurricular opportunities, hygiene items, new clothing, shoes and socks, etc. Additionally we have an onsite food pantry to assist in addressing students and their family’s food insecurity needs. The goal of the nonprofit is to improve the quality of life of each student and their family in any way we can.

  • Lot 318 walks alongside at-risk youth in the La Jolla community of Placentia by empowering them to see their worth and purpose in this world. We accomplish this by holding various events and service opportunities to open their eyes to the world around us. We challenge them to serve others in the community and make a difference among their peers. We believe in the importance of education and teaching them self-value and of the resources they have available to them. Our goal is to give them opportunities they may never have had, to help them become a positive influence and force in our world...and to love them in truth.

Regional Mission Partners

  • For almost 3 decades, we have been sending teams of youth and adults to build homes hope and relationships with the working poor families and the marginalized in the quiet colonias that are tucked away in the rugged hills overlooking the Playas de Tijuana.

What began as a mission exploration has grown into a tradition of service and a cross cultural bridge building with our brothers and sisters in these impoverished border towns.

Community Centers and Churches are host to our growing mission teams providing warm hospitality and assistance with materials and local customs.

Over the years, we have become partners with local pastors, mission workers and business owners who continue to lend support to our community service work and home building projects.

  • Futuro del Oro has become a cornerstone mission partner where we not only build homes but relationships across the border. Futuro del Oro is a cross-cultural non-profit charity that provides support for working poor families in the Tijuana area of Baja, Mexico. Through our partnership we provide scholarships for students, build modest homes for families without adequate shelter and provide resources for a community medical clinic that serves those without other means for treatment. Join our next homebuilding team – no experience necessary. Learn more about the scholarship program – contact Joel Oakford.
