We are on a ROLL!!

Hello Congregation!

We are on a roll – literally!  First, a big thank you to our “high rollers” at Vintage Vegas who were able to attend this fabulous event that supports our mission and outreach ministries!  It was a night to remember!

But wait!  There’s more! Our fellowship and connection opportunities are in full swing right now including our Bowling League and our first ever Classic Car Show coming up this weekend on Sunday, September 28.

I know so many in our congregation have had a “ball” with our new bowling league – I can’t wait to join!  Our fall Bowling League for adult members and friends of our church will be starting on September 28th. The league is held on Sunday nights at Concourse Bowling Center from 5:30-8:30 p.m. for 8 weeks. The cost will be $15 per week which will include three games of bowling, shoe rental and ball. In lieu of cash prizes, money will be donated to the church for various projects.  Openings exist for regular weekly team bowlers and subs. You don’t need to be an expert bowler.  Just come out and join us for fun, fellowship, and an opportunity to support our church.

And the cars are “rolling in” for our Classic Car Show and Coffee this Sunday, September 28th before and after worship.  So, instead of milling around on the patio, enjoy your cup of coffee, while walking among some of the CHPC’s congregant’s finest big boys and girls “toys”.  The event is open to all cars; classics and contemporary, hot rods, trucks, exotics, muscle cars, motorcycles and if you’re proud of it, even that stock Chevy Tahoe! No judging, just wash and shine will do. Feel free to invite your friend with the cool car to submit a registration form.  For registration forms or more information on the car show, click here.

It is an honor and privilege to have been granted permission to host Lauren Gully’s ordination service this Saturday, September 27 at 2 PM.  Please make every effort to attend this special service of worship for a child of our church.

In His Service,

Rev. Lissa Smith
