Elements of Faith series for study and worship will run through fall season beginning after Labor Day weekend through Thanksgiving. Weekly opportunities to engage more deeply which each topic will be offered through the Church in the Wild program, Pre-Game on Sunday mornings and new Home Groups as well as our daily devotion series.
Our objectives for this series are to provide opportunities for parishioners to increase their spiritual vitality thereby inspiring participants to live by faith in their daily lives and encouraging faithful witness into the community. Additionally we hope to assist participants in forging new and/or restoring connections within the family of faith.
Daily Devotions will continue to be created by our writing team of Jana Kidd, Vanessa Bates, Alan Purvis, James Farrow, Michael Landreth and Lissa Smith.
Church in the Wild will continue its expository study format exploring the historical and contextual background of the scriptures at the center of Sunday morning worship and offering reflections based on our current context.
Pre-Game on Sunday mornings will offer a brief introduction to the weekly “Elemental Theme” with table discussions.
New Home Groups will be in home gatherings to facilitate relationships within the congregation and continued dialogue and discussion based on the weekly “Elemental Theme” and related scriptures. Each Home Group will have a host and facilitator for discussion.
